Old Paris White Porcelain Sugar Bowl with Fruit Finial Lid Gold Trim

A beautiful piece of old Paris white porcelain with gold decoration trim, this is a covered sugar bowl. Graceful leaves are molded in the design at the base of each handle and on the top of the lid, where the finial is in the shape of a flower bud or fruit. The gold designs accent the leaves and the bud/fruit and encircle the edges of both pieces.

Unmarked, except for 2 incised lines on the bottom (may be the number 11).

Measures about 6 ½” high from the base to the top of the finial and about 6” across from the outer edges of the handles. The base is a little over 4” in diameter.

There are no chips, cracks, or crazing but some wear to the gilding particularly on the handles and the band about ¼ of the way up from the bottom. One of the gold bands around the top of the base looks a little sloppy – a long ago decorator must have been having a bad day!
